Madam Cynthia Mensa was invited by the founder on 1st October 2020 as the guest speaker to one of their durbars and she has since volunteered her skills and knowhow to support the Association to grow and develop into greater heights.

POULTRY FARMING AT AHENETIA

The poultry Farm initiative at Ahenetia is one of the over two thousand poultry farms owned by NFA across the country and it has shown great success and requires more resources to increase the yields to meet target.
The youth amongst us have taken the poultry farming proj-ect seriously and we want to give them all the support with a bit of assistance from you.

SUPPORTING AGRIHOUSE FOUNDATION

Since they were introduced to Agrihouse, the Nyonko Do farmers association has been an active participating support to all programs organised by Agrihouse founda-tion.
Thanks to Ms Alberta we won the Princess Carla GOLD IN THE SOIL AWARD in the year 2020.

There has been occasions where we have our cassava rotten in the soil because we were waiting for good deals.
This is when we thought of value chain. We now produce one of the best tasting gari in Ghana.
When we attracted someone from the Canadian embassy who wants to import our Gari to Canada we decided its about time we build that factory.
We have been going up and down the 1D1F office since then for opportunities.
This year we left about 750 acres of Cassava in the soil waiting for investors to support us.

We have started manually but we know that setting up a factory will increase our turnover. There is a good waste of our cassava year on year.
We are looking to export cassava flour, Gari, tapioca, starch and biogas.
We want to encourage the youth that there is gold in soil, from tilling the land, sowing, tendering the plants, feeding and harvesting the yield to make well packaged products for both the local and foreign markets.
